This movie grabs you and doesn’t let go. On the second viewing it all clicks into place. And by “place” I mean “mud”.

The first time I had Indian/Pakistani-style sour pickles, it was maybe 2015. My friend Mani had taken me to Punjabi Deli, and he urged me to try the pickled mangos. It felt like my mouth was imploding. I couldn’t imagine taking another bite. While this thought was still in my mind, I had some more pickle. It’s been a flavor I’ve sought out ever since. 🍴
