Mad God, 2021 - ★★★★

I Saw the TV Glow, 2024 - ★★★★

A remarkable neon tone poem on sadness.
Terrifier 2, 2022 - ★★★

Somehow, after the first Terrifier was at best fine and at worst politically gross, this movie rules. Gone is the gender stupidity, in is the whimsy, the dreams, the characters you care about. In short, it's a real movie. And gross, but in a good way.
Terrifier, 2016 - ★½

This is a pretty rote slasher, without much of the whimsy and humor Art the Clown would later grow. It's also incredibly misogenistic and transphobic, thanks to a few of the more elaborate kills near the end. Really inessential.
All Hallows' Eve, 2013 - ★

This sucked, and I understand how these movies got a reputation for misogyny now. Glad Damien got better. A few good scenes but mostly pretty lame.
Saturday Night, 2024 - ★★★

One time, the seventies threw up a TV show.
The Wild Robot, 2024 - ★★★½

Yep, I cried.
Sometimes, the MTA is fun. 🚇

The Final Girls, 2015 - ★★★★

So fun
I beat the Mario RPG remake while cat sitting this past week. Lots of nostalgia for this one, and the updated graphics and sound were a fun way to reexperience it. 🕹️
I’ve been cat sitting Rocco this week. Here’s how it’s going. 🐈⬛
Got some doodling in today.

Another old gold hour shot. I don’t remember where this was taken.
Sabotage, 1936

More like sand-bo-tage
I’m thinking of being from the 1970s.

Another old golden hour post.
From my old photos, in iOSs Golden Hour collection.
Follow up food shots from Sunday’s supper club.
We started with some fish in a really nice sauce. Don’t you wish I remembered anything more specific? Me too.
Then we had slice duck with grilled eggplant with a walnut and pecan sauce. That yellow Swiss cheese cracker looking dude is fried flower oil. Bonkers.
After that, we lightened it up with tamale, cheese, and pickled tomatillo with a unique salsa verde. Almost all the ingredients here are from pre-colonial Mexico.
Finally, we finished with a moist polenta cake with some sort of sweet, tangy jam and this light, sugary cracker cookie that I forget the name of.
The chefs gave wonderful explanation on each dish, and I can’t remember it. Thankfully, the pictures speak for themselves. All these shots were taken by my friend Jenny.

My Chef friend Kayla ran a supper club on our roof last night. Incredible food, and lovely company. No notes.
